Baraboo Senior, Lily, Class of 25

Baraboo High School senior Lily, class of 2025, is one of my senior portrait giveaway contest winners! Once we started discussing the details of Lily’s senior portrait session, it was clear that we had to create some killer soccer images and capture those timeless outdoor vibes that she loves so much.

We kicked off the day at Flambeau Field at Baraboo High School. We got onto the field and I could tell that Lily was nervous as are most of the seniors when we start a session. A few laughs later and we were rockin’! To make the session even more special, Mr. Lange, the coach, kindly came out to help with the equipment setup. His presence added a touch of authenticity and support, making the shoot all the more memorable. He also loved that I was teaching her how NOT to kick the ball properly, but hey anything to get the shot you need!

We wrapped up things at the high school and made our way down to Steinke Basin just south of Devil’s Lake state park. One of my favorite locations for photo sessions. Thanks to all of the rain we have had lately the flowers were taking over the hiking area and helped us get a little creative. If you know me at all you know we had to sneak in a runway walk and a hair flip in there as well. It wouldn’t be me if we were only doing posing all day and not having a little fun with it.

Next stop, south shore of Devil’s Lake. Unfortunately the same rain that helped the flowers also had the water levels up so the beach was non existent, but we do not let these minor inconveniences slow us down.

We just have to get in the water!

Our beautiful park offers sooo many options for senior portrait sessions, especially the south shore. Great lighting, even on overcast days like we had, plenty of nature, a beautiful pathway through the trees and rocks everywhere. How you utilize them is all up to you. It helps when you have a fun and energetic student like Lily who is not afraid to get a little dirt on her feet or jump into the lake to make amazing images like these.

These are only a portion of the beautiful images we created during Lily’s Senior Portrait Session! I can’t wait to see them in her album.

Huge thank you to Lily and her mother Sara for choosing me for such an important milestone!
